COVID-19 for Kids Book
COVID-19 was first identified in late 2019. Since then, the coronavirus has spread widely and the disease was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020.
How do we explain what is going on in the world to our children?
This book was written to help you as a parent, teacher or other caregiver talk to your kids about the coronavirus. With so much uncertainty and fear out there, COVID-19 for Kids uses simple rhymes and fun illustrations to share the facts, how to stay healthy and how to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Why did we write this book?
As the parents of two young children in Singapore, we became increasingly worried about the coronavirus as it spread from Wuhan, China to our shores and the rest of the world. We’ve lived in the US, China and Canada, and have traveled extensively to many other countries now affected. With family and friends in some of the worst affected places, we are very worried about the coronavirus and want to do something to help.
We adults are inundated with constant news and images about COVID-19, but it’s not easy to find appropriate resources and the right words to share what is going on with our kids. Meanwhile, kids are picking up on the stress and fear around them, without understand it or knowing what they can do to help and feel more in control.
Hopefully this book helps by (1) equipping you to discuss the coronavirus with your children and (2) raising money to fight COVID-19 around the world.
